I love the Rem 7mm 08!  I like the knock down power and has very little kick!

I personally ike the 308.

I used a 300 win mag for years, and the reloads I had did an awsome job, but it is easier to go to a store and find 308 shells, and they all shoot tight groups out of my gun.

Afterf sue shot her first deer, I kept my promise and bought her her own rifle, a 7mm - o8 browning a-bolt.

Gun shoots great, and I use it as my coyote gun, but after she shot her first buck with it, and I tried it out on a couple deer, she now will only hunt with ther 308.

I tried reloads, and factory amo, and the results for me were the bullet definetiley blows up, and make a mess (lots of hemmorraging), but it didn't seem to have the shock / knock down hitting power of the 308.

I know therer isn't much difference I believe in the two cartridges, just our personal preference.

The .270 is my choice. It's such a flat shooter, you can reach out and just knock 'em over.
