I don't know, but when I saw Steve out on the lake this weekend, it looked more like the "Loveboat" than a fishing boat, lol. Is Hope gonna let you take it out by yourslef soon Steve?Huh

Hey Nancy,
Now, I am not trying to promote anything, but if you bungee cord everything down in the except for  Bob, maybe that whole thing of you and Tracy fishing together could come together quicker than you think!!! LMAO. And then you wouldn't have to worry about figuring out which boat you would have to fish out of either. Just some food for thought, lol.

saw the new crestliner last night. Looks nice.  Now if you can just keep your dad from taking it all the time, you are good to go, lol.

Just checked the weather forecast for next Sunday's tourney. It says 60% chance of rain. Who woulda thunk it?? lmao. If it gets bad, I may put the poles away and just ride around behind Bob and Nancy's boat and collect all the tackleand equipment he throws out and make a little money re-selling it!! Good Luck to everyone!!

We had sort of an "exit" meeting with the DAV people the other day to see what everyone thought about how their first tourney went and get ideas to make it better. I brought up the idea of going back to 2 day payouts. Charlie Brandt said it took too much time to do the paperwork for that?? It is not a matter of which payout you personally like, it is which one will draw more teams. All you have to do is look at the trend the last 5 years and you can see that the number of teams in the KAWA/ DAV tourneys is steadily falling. Kinzua Kenny used to run 140 + boats and now they don't even reach 100. These tourneys are mainly supported by weekend anglers. They went to 1 day payouts to appease the dozen or so "pro" teams, and it has cost them. I have nothing against those teams and am glad they have the time and money/sponsors to be able to fish those circuits, but that is not working here. I also brought up the idea to at least make the big fish 2 day payouts and they agreed that it would be a good idea. At least if a team bombs on one day, they still have a chance to win some money. I strongly believe if they went back to 2 day payouts, they would get more teams. I will say the DAV people were open to suggestions and just want to make it better. They have a web site where you can contact them and give them ideas. Their next tourney at Elijah is also a place that you can let them know if you want the payout structure to change. I think Elijah will not even get 50 boats. I hope I am wrong, as I would like to see the DAV do good for the vets sake, but with the high cost of gas, and the launch at Elijah, there are a lot of boats that won't fish, due to many having too small of motors to run all the way back up the lake and the cost of gas to haul your boats all the way there and back for two days. If you look, the majority of the teams are from the Bradford Area, they need to keep that in mind when picking a launch site as well as the fact that most of the teams are not "pro" teams and don't have the boats and big motors to make a long run just to fish. If they took the 5,000.00 and split it for two days you would still be getting a nice paycheck, and more teams would have the chance to make some money. They could even pay the overall 2 day winners something extra, which I agree would be a good idea.Just my humble opinion.

Nancy and Tracy,
Sure hope I haven't started something bad in the Stewart family, lmao! Far be it from me to throw fuel on the fire, lol. Actually, all you have to do is learn to drive down the lake and throw your net overboard like Bob, or just drink beer all day and let the wife catch all the fish like Cub! Oops, did I say that out loud?Huh

Thanks Sue,
You were told not to reveal that "secret spot", lol. Looks like I have to put the Banjo minnows away and not go to the boom for a while. Might have to show them the "bling" lures, lol. Kind of makes it hard to complain too much about the weather when you see someone like lil scooter stick it out for two days and still have a ball though, he was a trooper!

You are more than welcome for the picture. We looked all morning trying to find your boat on the lake to get a shot of him. We wanted to make sure he had something to help him remember his first tourney on the " Zoo". Hope the fish cooperate more for him next time. Look me up when you guys get up here for the next one. I will take you out in my boat  before the tourney and get you on some good spots so he can hopefully catch some next time. There are also some more pics of him at www.photoedge.printroom.com. If I remember correctly, we got about a half a dozen pics of your boat.

Congrats to all the winners! I Sure am glad Nancy and Tracy Stewart haven't figured out yet if they would just dump Bob and Cubby and fish together, we all would be in trouble.  There are some very good pics of the tourney right on-line at www.photoedge.printroom.com. You just click on the "gallery" tab and then click on "DAV". They have 4 pages of photos uploaded already and they will have the rest of them uploaded by next week. there is about 700-800 photos taken so just about everyone has a shot or two on the site.  I even got a collectible photo. It was Carl Milks going " forward" in his boat; he must have been confused during the hail storm, lol. Once again, congrats to all the winners.
