Tom:

You should have received Team Whalesback's downpayment. Has the response to this event increased since your forum post?

For those of you who use planer boards, do you prefer the inline or the masts. What do you feel are the benefits or down sides? Also, does anyone prefer dipsy divers over planer boards?

I would love to see what you have, and you could send me the slide show when that's done too. I can be emailed directly at domachow@syr.edu

Thanks,

Tom:

While we we fishing the tournament yesterday, we had the most remarkable experience with a fawn. We were down in Chappell Bay, and a fawn - couldn't have been 2-3 weeks old, swam-yes swam right behind our boat. It was so close it went under our fishing lines. Of all times not to have a camera. The fawn swam all the way from the south part of the bay to the north. There was no mother in sight. I'm guessing she must have been hit on the highway that we could hear buried behind the trees. That sight was worth the price of admission.

The .270 is my choice. It's such a flat shooter, you can reach out and just knock 'em over.

Tom - I'm chomping at the bit to get out there. It's been too long since April 13. What's the other tournament all about? Did you get our registration for the NEWC?

Glenn,

A "blade bait" is a spinnerbait with a propeller on top instead of spinners. At least thats what I "thunk" it was. If Tom is Mr. Bucktail (not what we call him), then Im Mr. Twistertail. Tom has made me cry UNCLE with bucktails when nothing else worked.

I thought a blade bait was a heddon sonar, or reef runner cicada. I could be wrong - but that's what I "thunk".

Is there a web site I can get more info on Kinzua? Tom mentioned that there is a reservation permit for some parts of the Reservoir. Just want to make sure I'm prepared for the show.
