1  General Category / General Discussion / PWT Folding? on: August 27, 2008, 12:28:22 PM
I heard from a reputable source that this is the PWT's last year on circuit. Has anyone else heard anything about it?

How about "Weighs and Means"? A little spin off ways and means for how much these toys cost along with Tom's name. Of course the changed spelling of way for what we're all after in the almighty hefty marble eye.

Fisherman friendly for sure. Boaters and fishermen pull right up to the docks for lunches and drinks all the time. They should be pretty crowded tomorrow night. They're having a 100 boat poker run out of there for the make-a-wish foundation. Nolan said they'll have a couple of boats that will do 140mph plus. There'll be a helicopter in the air filming the whole event. Should be quite a show on the lake. Give me a call on my cell tomorrow (315-391-0862). I have a guided trip tomorrow and will be on the lake too. I might be able to put you on some fish if you have trouble finding some. Get ready to be pounded by some wake action.

Tom:

Is the weigh in going to be relatively close to the Oneida Shores launch? The reason I'm asking is, I plan on coming over by boat and need to know if I have to travel to the weigh in location.

Thanks,
Mike

If you want, I can have you follow me over the restaurant after the meeting. I'm sure I'll be ready for an ice cold beer by then.

Not real big fish, but we've had 5 fish bags 13-15 pounds.

Tom:

I see on the local posters you picked up Gander Mountain as a sponsor for this Sunday's NEWC tournament. Is that where the meeting will be Saturday night?

Tom:

I hooked one about 7 pounds last weekend while I was down there pitchin' for largemouths. Nothing like catching one by accident. I released her as well.

Sorry you can't make it. We'll see you at Oneida then. The last time I was at Chataqua, it was for a bass tournament, and I caught more walleyes than bass while flippin' in that thick stuff. I'll probably try to stick a few eye's while I'm out there this weekend. It'll be a little early for a pre fish, but better than nothing for the championships.

Catch 3 real big ones?

Are you bass fishing this weekend at Chataqua? I'll be heading out Thursday afternoon to prefish Friday.

I know that Kinzua Outdoors is a promoter of the sport of angling. Does the organization do anything like collect used equipment to donate to the less fortunate? If not, does anyone know of such an organization that does this? I have some old gear that I would rather have in the hands of some aspiring young angler, than sitting in my garage collecting cob webs.
12  General Category / General Discussion / Take Off Video? on: June 30, 2008, 01:39:24 PM
There was someone on this forum that had a video of the takeoff on Kinzua from the June 1 tournament. I was hoping to get a copy e-mailed to me. If that person is out there, and willing to e-mail it, could you send it to domachow@syr.edu?

Thanks,
Mike

Anyone have a recommendation on where we could stay while we're at the Erie tournament?

I didn't think the e-tech took any break in time and was pretty much maintenance free.
