A BIG congrats to all that placed!!!!   A job well done in those two days of monsoons!!!!   I don't know how anyone stayed on fish with all that Ma Nature threw at us.  Ferbie asked me afterwards- "Can you say HUMBLED?Huh"  Yeah, we got humbled in a big way!!!  That was  the brutalist two days out there I've ever seen, then the hail/sleet Sunday was just what we needed!!! And a big thanx to all helpers and especially Ed Yohe and a couple others I did'nt know, who braved those rains, winds and WAVES to help load the boats both days- It would have been near impossible w/out you guys!!!

Jeez, and all this time I "thunk" a bladebait run by the "Man From Case" was a jig-spinner with propellers made of knife blades!!!  Who can solve this mystery?HuhHuh

Not knowing where "our neck of the woods"is, here's a list of all the area dealers.
Cuba Lake Marina-1-716-968-1433
Chatauqua Lake Marine- Mayville,NY 1-176-753-3913
Schwen Camper Sales-Shippenville,Pa 1-814-226-6961
Wiegel Brothers Marine- Franklin,Pa  1-814-437-2077
Brobeil Marine- Buffalo,NY  1-716-873-1560
Bow & Stern Marine- Tonawanda,NY  1-716-692-2316
After just having the breakdown (voltage regulator & rectifier) on my Yamaha engine, I got this list compiled from Yamaha's website.  I called ALL these (and some further away), and the only one willing to sell the parts to me w/o bringing engine to them was Wiegel Bros in Franklin,Pa.   One of these should be able to get your dad's motor in- this is a busy time for them.

Congrats to the winners!!!!   It was a tough bite for most.  You talk about close weights-  we finsihed 14th w/5 fish, only a mere 8 oz out of fifth place!!!!  All in all, it was a great day.   Congrats again!!!!

If you don't mind the drive to Bradford, there are 2 Notarys that sell them- Bradford Notary @ 48 N. Kendall Ave and McKean Notary @ 600 Chestnut St Ext.  The next closest would be at the SNI Administration Complex near the Casino in Salamanca, follow the signs there.

Thanx all.  I sure hope to be back on the water- you don't know how hard that was!!!!!!!!   We still had a nice "surf & turf" dinner tho.  Another thing I felt bad about Sunday- I had a baggie full of pop tops for the kids & I forgot 'em!!!  I'll bring 'em next outing (IF I get the boat running).  You're welcome Tom, besides, I did'nt have anything else to do..............

Thanx Bill J.  We DID have a good day fishing, but the equipment just would'nt cooperate!!!   The engines on a stand in my shop all tore apart and waiting for the new parts.  I had a heck of a time finding a dealer that would ship the parts- I'm not a "qualified technician" to work on that section of the motor I kept being told.  They all wanted me to bring it to them.  I finally got one who asked me some questions and liked the answers I guess, 'cuz he OK'd the parts to me.  Shipped xpress today, hope to have them by Thurs afternoon latest.  His (& mine) other concern is if something else got fried that I did'nt catch- it's hard to tell with these new electronic ignition parts nowdays just by looking.  What burns me (pun intended) is this motor is only 4 yrs old!!!!

Thanx to you and Case!!!!   It's a gorgeous knife.  And it lessened the sting of not being able to compete because of the motor fire!!!!  Thanx again Tom & Sue- great turn out and great festivities!!!!

Well, since I could'nt go fishing today on my day off, I decided to go out for a gobbler.  Got up on my hill a little late (nature called just as I got all my duds on), hoofed it up to where I shot my fall gobbler.  It was already getting light.  Set my dekes out and paced off 20 yds and plopped down.  Called a little-nothing.  Every 10 mins I would call again.  At 0700, I caught a black form with a white head coming towards me.  Not a peep from him.  He kept coming and I clucked to him a couple times-he stood straight up looking and saw the dekes and litterally came running right at them.  I did'nt want to hit the dekes, so when he got within 30 yds, I let him have it-he fell right there, never kicked or flopped.  After Saturday's fiasco with the boat, I finally had a stroke of GOOD luck!!!  Not the biggest bird, but I'll take anything I can get right now.  First time out-was'nt sure if I could go again.  17 lbs, 5.5 inch beard, 5/8 inch spurs.  Smiley
